Backed by many years of local angling experience, Gamerec knows what’s biting and where – whether it’s big snapper in the bay itself, Australian salmonpassing through the bay’s rip, or mako sharks out in the deeper waters of the Strait.
Game angling is a unique experience; the power of certain species must be felt to be believed. Mako and thresher sharks are considered to be one of the best sports fish in the world – and they can be found just off the coast of Victoria!
Departing all year round, these trips are suited to either the beginner or experienced angler. Exploring the reef systems around Port Phillip Heads, Bass Strait and Port Phillip Bay, these fishing tours target snapper, whiting, trevally, gummy shark, Australian salmon, flathead, squid and a variety of reef species.
Departing Sorrento and Queenscliff from October through till May, these are also suited to either the beginner or experienced angler. The 8hr fishing tours will chase the same species as the 5hr trips, but on occasions when in season – and conditions permit – these charters also target kingfish and sharks such as mako, threshers, gummies, seven gill and blue shark.
