Charters

Our crew possesses many years of local fishing experience and knowledge between them. Their expertise will give you the ultimate chance to hook the fight of your life during one of our exciting fishing charters.

  • Our boats depart from Harbour Street, Queenscliff or Sorrento Pier.
  • Fishing on Port Phillip Bay and out in Bass Strait, we can offer a wide range of fish species, including the exciting Thresher Shark and Mako Shark over season
  • Afternoon trips head out between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
  • Our crew will clean, fillet and bag your catch, ready to be popped on the BBQ or into the freezer once you get home

PORT PHILLIP BAY & THE RIP

Covering nearly 2000 Sq KMs, Port Phillip Bay is the entrance to Australia’s busiest port and home to around 3.5 Million people along its shores. Many people each year visit Queenscliff and Sorrento for the fishing and various activities offered in the nearby surrounds.

Surprisingly shallow in places, with half of the bay less than 8m in depth, but also lined with some deep drop offs and channels, making it a fisho’s paradise. Home to some big Snapper, plentiful Whiting, Flathead, Squid, Australian Salmon and a huge variety of reef fish.

At the entrance to the bay is the notorious Rip.  Regarded as one of the most dangerous entrances in the world for inexperienced and novice skippers, it also sports some fantastic fishing. At just 3km wide and up to 90m deep, with tidal flows reaching up to 8 knots, it can bring on Australian Salmon in huge numbers, Barracouta, King Fish and other good fighting fish.

BASS STRAIT

Around 240km wide and averaging around 50m deep. Having several islands along its width, deep sea drop-offs at either end and a meeting point of currents from the Southern Ocean and Pacific Ocean, it produces some fantastic off shore fishing and is one of the primary reasons Fishing from Queenscliff or Sorrento is such a popular choice. Mako & Thresher Sharks highlight the season and are considered one of the best sport fish in the world.  Seeing a 150kg Mako leap metres into the air should not be missed by not only die-hard fishermen, but even the weekend fisho’s!

Charter Prices

Our Fishing Charter Rates include all Fishing Tackle, Bait, Rods, Reels and our crew will Scale, Clean and Bag all fish ready for the BBQ or Freezer.

5 Hour $150 pp
In season possible target species include Snapper, Gummy Shark, King George Whiting, Australian Salmon, Trevally, Sweep, Flathead, Barracouta, Calamari & Reef Species.  We do not target Shark on these trips.
6 Hour $180 pp
In season possible target species include Kingfish, Snapper, Gummy Shark, King George Whiting, Australian Salmon, Trevally, Sweep, Flathead, Barracouta, Calamari & Reef Species.  We do not target Shark on these trips.
8 Hour $210 pp
The 8 hour trips will chase the same species as mentioned in the 5 & 6 hour trips above, but on occasions when conditions allow and in season are also targeting shark such as Mako, Threshers, Gummies, 7 Gill and Blue Shark.
